The lovely historical town of Dovadola rises just in the heart of the valley of the river Montone, and develops across the territories which were once ruled by noble families from Tuscany. The city is dominated by the wonderful Fortress of Conti Guidi. Unfortunately, it is deeply ruined and can't be visited. The lower part of the city cherishes the picturesque sixteenth-century village, that is home to the beautiful Church of St. Andrea.
Not to be missed a short distance from the city centre is the Franciscan Sanctuary of Montepaolo, where St. Anthony of Padua lived for one year. Dovadola's comfortable hotels are the ideal accommodation facilities for those interested in spending their holidays in Forlì Cesena Apennines.
